Cornell Medal

2025 WINNER: MICHAEL YOULTON
Introduced in 1987, this award is the most prestigious of our Club Awards and goes to the person felt to have provided outstanding service to the Club, beyond the activity of running.
It is to recognise that no Club can function without the devotion and activity of individuals, who contribute to its ongoing development and success.
Each year a medal is awarded – it depicts an image of group of runners passing Wellington Rocks, where our first Half Marathon started, which was designed by David Cornell, a world renowned sculptor and an early member of Tunbridge Wells Runners.
The recipient is decided by a vote amongst all the current holders of the Cornell Medal.
